Looking Back to Give Thanks and Moving Forward with Great Anticipation
25th Jan... Wow.. It has been 23yrs living on the earth! Looking back there are up and downs in life however something that grips hold my heart and fill my inner hole of emptiness is the Creator King-- Jesus. Through these years He never lose His patience on me. His patience and love is really boundless... I rejected Him again and again... deny Him again and again.. however the key hole in my heart knows that the owner is near... nearer... and nearer... cant deny, nor reject but to accept the Creator-- someone who knows me well even before I was born and someone who knows the plan for my life.
Here's the the 3 F's in my life:
The 1st F is Friends. If you ever ask my secondary school friends about me, they will describe me as a person who simply “blends into the wall”. It is true indeed! I liked to do things alone and quietly, thinking that it would be more efficient. Life was monotonous and unchallenging; there was no presence of motivation. Until one fine day, one of my secondary school friends, who was also my enemy invited me to her church. I visited twice but there was apparently nothing that captivated my heart. I was closed up and very resistant to share about my life to people. I still remembered vividly that there was one night emptiness quickened my heart and I started to ponder over my life.
I asked myself this, “Am I going to live in this way for the rest of my life? Dull, boring, unexciting, no challenges… and the list go on…”
Here come the 2nd F ‘Fullest’- I started seeking for an answer to live my life to its fullness and I finally made a decision to receive Jesus Christ into my life. It took a 180 degrees change in me. God’s unfailing love touched my heart and I started to understand the purpose of life. I became more sociable in my poly days and was actively involved in school. I learnt to be more initiative in making new friends too. My poly friends couldn’t believe how I was like previously; neither do my secondary school mates, who witness the change in me.
Life can be filled with positive challenges and excitement which are not bounded by physical age but by our perspectives. The word L.I.F.E is more than just filling in with Love, Investments and Experiences. Without the 3rd alphabet F ‘Faith’, there won’t be a deeper experience of life anymore. Now, I’m anticipating in seeing many breakthroughs in my life in the near future. Of course, I know life is never like a bed of roses, but it comprises of challenges stacked upon me. However, each challenge will mould me to become a stronger Leanne.
Having faith is to believe in what you hope for and certain of what you do not see.
The life that I am living in now is so enriching and fulfilling, everyday is a new day to explore and discover out of the routine of my life! As the social circle is enlarging, it's so amazing to think about God's creation. Indeed every one is uniquely created by Him.

Christmas is just over. It has been a wonderful and amazing Christmas, filled with miracles and wonders. Have a great time reflecting and giving thanks to the Lord. From deco ministry to NYP pastoral to even able to invite my youngest brother for Christmas Service. God is faithful. This Christmas decoration is wonderfully done by the deco team and volunteers from high school, poly and uni grp. Truly want to thank God for all who participate in this deco production. Still remember some miracles happened during the 1st Christmas Deco production... We have limited budget to complete 2 Christmas productions (18th/19th SS &23/24/25th SS)

Still remember weeks before the 1st Christmas SS which was held on 18th Dec. We stayed for deco from morning till late at night doing brain storming, walking up and down the orchard road and somerset to view the decoration, checked prices of decorative ornaments at concourse, tried to buy all the stocks(white Christmas lights) from all shops. Gathering manpower to do the deco etc. Although I have been in charged of Christmas deco for 3 years. This is the first year we have such an awesome decoration (esp 23rd Dec production). This is the first time I can truly witness miracles happened in the midst of doing decoration.

Eg. God provide our need of purple paint by changing the proportion of paint required at different stages. Initially we used 1blue:5red to make purple. After that we found out we need another bottle of purple paint. With limited red its impossible to make another bottle of purple. Miraculously proportion changed! 1red:5blue inorder to get the purple! More miracles happened after the incident too.

Truly want to thank God for my designers, deco helpers and volunteers. Without teamwork, ideas cant be carried out, things may not get done on time. Without God all these decoration will be meaningless too. Jesus is the reason for this season.

****NYP CAMP*****Last Sun till Mon (13-15th Nov) - It was the 1st Time ever held NYP Camp! 2 words to describe the camp- "Spirit-filled" & "Heart Warming!" We have great time watching the VCD abt Hope Bangkok( our Mother Church). I was touched when I saw how Hope Bangkok grew and become so spirit-filled even till now, we never fail to hear great life transforming testimonies about how God moves in their lives. Still remembered vividly about what Ps PN said to the church and pleaded the lost backsliders and pre-believers to come back to God. It's true, God's house is the safest refuge place. None of the building nor shelter can be able to compare with God's eternal rock shelter. Of cos the 2nd night we have great time worshipping God and responding to him. I can really sensed that moving and the work of the Holy Spirit in me! That Heart to Heart Affirmation night was heart warming, passing the candle lights with a sincere heart warming affirmation really touched many of our hearts. We start to appreciate one another's strength, contribution and love. This was a wonderful time we hear many stories of how God changed the lives of people! God is real in everyone's life!

Here goes my thanksgiving to God and the ppl:

1. Thank God for Deborah who help us to find a Semi-Detached House so that we can hold our camp!

2. I really enjoyed the jokes and the
games played especially that "Musical Clothes"- I love this innovative game!- thanks to the Game Committee led by Dawn and the team! Initially we thought that we need more games for bonding but it seemed that we don't need much as the people are really closely bonded since the first night!

3. Thanks to the worship team led by Jo-N. We had a wonderful time praising and worshiping God. Especially the 2nd night, the whole NYP just being so ready to be ministered by God and really praise and worship God with all our hearts.

4. Thanks to the food team led by Giselle too. Without you and your team, I think we will not have such a
healthy, delicious breakfast- peanut porridge and mushroom hotdog cream pasta, packed lunch and pizzas for dinner and thanks Josh and his guys for helping us to buy supper at 3am! It was challenging to have to settle our lunch and dinner especially the campsite was held in a deserted area.

5. Thanks to Darren for helping out in logistic, going extra mile to bring your CPU and speakers, thanks to Josh for lending us LCD monitor. Thanks for setting up the whole comp so that we can watch the VCDs.

6. Thanks to my CLs- Lalita, Josh, Jo-N and Huimei. Thanks for sharing the load in conducting wonderful workshops and also teaching. Thanks for adding zeal and energy and leadership to this team!

7. Thanks to all of my ppl, it's because of you setting the priority to turn up for this camp that God can touch each and individual one of us!

8. Thanks to all the committee members and participating members and new believers-CJ and Jia Huey and also our dear sister Jill! It's you that make this camp successful and interesting!

9. Finally, I want to give thanks to God. It's your vision of fulling the Great Commission that cause us to come together to obey and take up your call. It's your Agape Love(unconditional love) that transform us! It's U! Million of Thanksgiving to you Jesus!

Our NYP Campaign: Dare 40r More! Shall be fulfilled!! We shall be a Visionary Man and Woman of God!!! Amen!

Back from watching the movie "White Chick" with Nel, Jo-N, Donald and Han Yew. Guess what time we watched? 1.40am! Having to wait for 3 hours to watch just that movie. It was a very nice, funny, crappy show. I really really enjoyed and laughing all the way. It's quite rare to see me able to catch up midnight show without falling asleep hAhA. Still remember watching the "Spiderman II" I slept through the entire screening time and also "The Village"- my eyes are fixed on the screen but half opened. Hey guys, if you haven't watched the "White Chick" do watch! I give it 4 stars out of 5!I'm sure you will enjoy it!
